Reginald A. Holmes

The president of The Holmes Law Firm is among America’s most experienced Arbitrators, Mediators and Private Justices. He has served as the neutral in hundreds of major ADR matters and enjoys a national and international reputation for efficiency, fairness and effectiveness in resolving very complex and intractable disputes across a board range of subject matters including Employment, Intellectual Property and Technology, Entertainment, International, Business, and Franchise matters. He has advised, negotiated, litigated, mediated, arbitrated and lectured on such issues throughout the United States and the world.

Reg has been a member of the American Arbitration Association’s (AAA) Large Complex Case panel since its inception. He serves on the National and International panels of the AAA and the International Centre for Dispute Resolution (ICDR) and is the Mediation Standards Director for Resolution Services Inc. He is President of the California Dispute Resolution Council (CDRC), the premier legislative advocacy group in California dedicated to protecting, promoting, improving and increasing the use of ADR processes. He is also a member of the board of directors and a fellow with the College of Commercial Arbitrators (CCA), a leader on the ADR committees of the American Bar Association (ABA) and the International Bar Association (IBA) and a member of the Academy of Distinguished Neutrals. He President and Executive Director of the Neutrals Diversity Alliance (NDA), an organization formed in 2013 as an alliance of fortune 500 companies committed to providing case loads to preeminent minority neutrals. He is also a certified Collaborative lawyer.

Reg is a fierce advocate of due process and fairness to all parties in all forms of ADR and is an expert on the role of “Justice” in ADR processes. He is a former patent attorney with an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Florida and a Law degree from Georgetown University Law Center. He has held senior executive, business, and managing partner positions with several Fortune 100 corporations and law firms and has been very active in national and local civic, community and professional organizations.
